Going to college means a step closer to the fulfillment of your dreams. That is why choosing a college or a university, wherein you will be shaping up your future, is very essential. Of course, we, the seniors, the graduating students, want to go, as much as possible, to a premiere university or a university which specializes in these-and-that courses. The problem is, getting to a college or a university is not as easy as entering its extensive gates. You need to undergo some screening, which are the entrance exams. Eyeing on the prize, we need to get into that certain college or university and blend in with its colors. We took neccessary preparations, enrolled ourselves in different review centers, attended several sessions of review classes, browsed some how-to-survive-entrance-examinations guides, and crammed in our minds all the previous lessons in highschool, that more or less, had been forgotten. After taking these neccessary precautions for a better chance to not be included in the list of entrance examination casualties, it is now time for the entrance examinations, itself. Entrance examinations usually takes about 4 to 5 hours of shading test sheets and, sometimes, writing an essay. Veterans say that time pressure is your number one enemy in these exams. They were right. In the actual examination, you will really feel the time slipping fastly. So, you definitely need to anwser the test questions rapidly and, at the same time, accurately. When in desperation for an answer, just use the examinees secret weapon, the so-called, Shotgun.
Yes, you’re done taking the entrance exams but the whole screening to get into your dream university is yet to be over. Now, you will spend several agitating months, asking yourself if your performance during the exam was enough to give you an outstanding result; worrying about getting a dreadful result. Getting the result of the entrance exams was one of those bittersweet moments. It was rejoiceful for those who passed; for those who didn’t, not so much. But, during those moments, you will really see the utter and unending support of your family and friends. It is not only you who’s happy when you passed, there are you friends and family happy for you, congratulating. It is not only you who’s sad when you didn’t make it, youre family and friends are there, wanting to let you know how much they feel your pain. Nevertheless, passing a university was only a step, you still need to work hard for a brighter future. For those who didn’t pass, don’t close your doors, don’t let failing an exam govern your future. You just need to let go of the past; don't focus on the bad things; look on the bright side; and keep moving forward.
